MamaNikki

What sort of signs did you DS show when you took him in to get his arm xrayed?  DD has been rubbing her left arm and sometimes she even bites at it!  She doesn't seem to favor it though.  TIA!

Re: MamaNikki

  • He would be acting fine one minute, and then when he went to use his arm, he would whine and cry out a little and hold his arm out.  Like, when he was sitting on the floor, he'd put his hands down on the floor to push himself up to stand up, and would just start whimpering.  Or he'd run to the couch and lean his arms onto it, and he'd whimper.  He'd hold his arm out to me.  Then after he would do something like that, he would hold his arm close to his body and not use it so much

He had been fussy and crying when I picked him up from daycare that day.  He had some teeth coming in at that time and wasn't sleeping good either, so I had a hard time deciding if there really was something wrong with him or not.  Plus, he would act fine one minute, and fussy the next.  I was all by myself with him and I couldn't decide if it was all in my head or not!!  lol.

I just had that feeling in my gut, though, you know?  I now say to always follow that "Mommy instinct."  When I called my Mom to ask for advice before I took him in, she told me, "You know him.  You know if something is really not right with him.  Trust your gut."

  • It's tough!  She is not really favoring it all, it just seems to be totally random.  The biting thing is really weird though.  She is REALLY fussy today, but she does have an ear infection and is teething.  I wonder if I just take her to the pedi if they can tell anything.  I will give them a call.

    Thank you!!!
