North Carolina Babies

Oh what a night.

I learned my lesson never to wake a sleeping baby. Jocelyn will sleep between her first and second night feeding for about 5-6 hours. I woke her around 5 hours to eat last night. I got the bottle, fed her a little, it EXPLODED all over the both of us (I am still getting the hang of drop ins). I then had to wash her, wash me, and change my clothes, and hers. Got another bottle, fed her. She then pooped, I changed her, she then pooped again, changed her again. Then she was fussing, so I burped her and she projectile spit up all over my new set of clothes. By this time she is wide awake, and stayed that way for 2 1/2 hours. I finally put her in bed with me and she fell asleep. I got about 4 hours sleep last night. I will never wake her up again!!

Re: Oh what a night.

  • Wow - what a horrible night!  Good thing is that nights like those are pretty rare (or at least I'd hope, where EVERYTHING goes wrong!)  But that totally sucks!  Note to self - do not wake sleeping baby or disasters will occur!
  • That sounds awful! But I would love 5-6 hours of sleep in a row, DS will sleep 4 max.

  • Yeah, I think Maddie was at least 6 months old before I would wake her from sleeping. If I had to be somewhere- too bad! lol

  • Yikes, that sounds like a crappy night. I hate nights where everything just goes wrong, and I am sure the sleep deprivation make it worse! Hopefully you can get a nap this afternoon.
