Ok be honest does my son look like a girl??

I promise i wont be pissed off LOL.  4 people this past weekend alone while we were shopping commented how gorgegous my daughter was? Umm ok i laughed with them while they squirmed to get out of that one.  Considering the kid was wearing all boy clothing.  I know his hair has gotten long so maybe they are going with the fact i should cut his hair.  One couple said OMG i am sorry hes so pretty he could pass for a girl.  OK....

  • I don't think so! But I have been told I have a beautiful daughter too! I blame it on my DS long eyelashes!

    I love my crazy child!

  • Not at all.

Although, if I close my right eye, squint my left eye while jumping up and down he still looks like a boy.

  • Wow gorgeous eyes!  I guess I could maybe mistake him with the hair and all.

DD is constantly called a boy even when dressed in pink.  I think it is a non-hair thing!

    LOL!

    :)

  • If you look at just his eyes and hair, yes. If you look at his whole face, no. I would cut his hair if the comments bother you alot. I think that will make the upper part of his face look more boyish. Oh, and he's very cute!
  • I think he looks like a baby. An adorable baby. DD gets called a boy often, like your DS gets called a girl. It really is a lot about hair, which is silly at this age since there's little one can (or should have to!) do about the length. People ought to stick with, "Oh, what an adorable baby."
  • The baby I watch is one day younger than your DS and people always think he is a girl!  But that's bc I think he REALLY needs a haircut (way worse than your DS).. but to answer your question, I think your son is very boy-ish looking!  I wouldn't have thought he was a girl by the picture!

    I don't think so.
  • No, he looks like a boy to me. ?People think DD is a boy all the time, even when I have her dressed in pink.
  • Not at all. He looks all boy to me. However, we got that ALL the time with Sean. I attributed it to him having longer hair. I just got it cut for the first time this weekend (he still has some length and curls, we just tamed the mane) so it'll be interesting to see if we still get that comment.

Well...actually, I'm sure we're still going to get the comment because an older lady friend of mine said to me yesterday:

"I saw the pictures of Sean's haircut. For some reason, I though it would be shorter, closer to his head....you know, like a boy".

  • Not at all. He's very boy.  I've gotten people calling DS a girl a few times, I don't see that at all.
  • It's the eyes...those big beauties...same thing happened to my friend and her son is ALL boy!
  • Definitely a boy to me. I agree with the pp; its the hair that has people confused. We always have people asking if our DD is a girl or a boy despite the pink outfit. Its gotten a lot better now that she has more hair and its tied up in a pony tail on the top of her head :)
  • He looks like a boy without a doubt.
  • Agreed- definitely boy.  But with those eyes, you are so in trouble.  Once he learns "I'm sorry Mommy" with those eyes, you are in trouble.

And MrsManners- your boy could have ringlets and earrings and I would still call boy.

  • No.  He looks like all boy to me.
  • No, he looks like a boy.  People always thought DD was a boy, despite being all in pink, until she grew hair.  Someone even said it was because she was bald...I must've missed the universal memo stating that only boy babies are bald and only girl babies have hair.  I guess you missed it too huh? Confused

I agree with this.  He is boyish all over, but the eyes are big and beautiful which makes people think girl.  And since the hair is a little longer that might add to the perception.
  • Your last picture is the most clear one of his face and I think he looks like a boy.  But he IS pretty (in a good way!).  People are ALWAYS referring to DS as "she" in stores and I've been attributing it to his cloak that he wears (kind of girlie looking) even though the rest of what he's wearing looks "boy."  I'm curious to see if not wearing his cloak in the spring weather makes a difference.  Maybe you'll notice a difference when he gets a haircut.  I think I'd rather that people think my boy looks like a girl than the other way around though.

I agree with this.  I think people see boys with pretty eyes and a lot of hair and "assume" girl.  He looks like a boy to me.

It is funny you ask this because I think that my DS looks like a girl.  My friends yell at me everytime I say that.

  • He's so cute, but I don't think he looks like a girl at all... maybe more so irl..  DS gets "she" all the time. They're always commenting on "her" long lashes. I don't mind though, I'm glad he's pretty! lol

  • I think he looks like a boy - those people are crazy!

  • thanks girls honestly any compliment we get on him or her LOL.  We are flattered. I think his eyes are gonna get him in trouble they are beautiful.  I guess a hair cut is coming his way in the near future ):
  • No his face is all boy. We get that a lot even though you should be able to spot the boy clothes. If the people commenting are older I chalk it up to bad eye sight and the fact that DS is pretty (at least I think so).

  • no! long beautiful hair does NOT mean its a girl!!! I had the same problem with my DS until he got his first hair cut.
  • Not at all!!  I bet if you shortened his hair a little bit that it would help stop any confusion.  But even with the longer hair I think he definitely looks like a boy!
