HazelLOVE, I was just gonna page you. I saw in your ticker that one of your possible names is Luca. I wanted to name my baby this if it's a boy but DH says no way. We live in an area of the city where there are a lot of italians and he says people would just think of Luca Brazi(sp?) from the Godfather. How the eff can I convince him about this name? When I found out I was pg I said if it's a boy I want to name him Luca.

That is so funny because my mom doesnt like the name because of the whole Luca Brazi thing too. I just think it is such a strong Italian name and it's different but not too different. When my parents couldn't agree on names they made a deal that my dad got to name the first baby and my mom would name the second one...they switched on and off like that for all four of us because they could never agree! Of course they both grew to love all of the names.
I did the same thing Friday...only I had THREE Krispy Kremes. This morning my friend brought in pumpkin cream cheese muffins and I ate three of those too! I have no self control. LOL

These were my thoughts as well. H and I are both Italian and we would love to pay homage to our heritage but I didn't want anything over the top like Flaviano, just an example (my great grandfather's name). I may try what your parents did and I will also tell him if he lets me name our baby Luca (IF it's a boy) then I we will give him h's middle name, so Luca Thomas. I hope that works, he likes the name he's just concerned what everyone else will think. I honestly NEVER thought of the Godfather reference until he pointed it out.
