Seriously...Im sitting in Panera trying to study for my neonatal resuscitation re-certification and there is an elderly man sitting in front of me. He is so darn precious...drinking his coffee and eating a muffin. He's all alone

I want to go up and hug him. I love people...its probably why I became a nurse....but I only like innocent and sweet people

Ugh...it breaks my heart to see him alone.

are you like me? you always make up life stories in your head about people you see? hopefully he has people out there who love and care for him, and he just likes to eat breakfast alone.

Don't let it break your heart... maybe he wants to be alone. I HATE eating with people. Given the choice I would rather grab something quick to eat and enjoy watching people or read a good book or magazine.

I guess that's all part of making up a story... imagine him happy and it will make you happier!

i know. of course I assume his wife passed away.....hopefully he enjoys being alone like you both have said.
