How many of you are exercising? I walk but haven't done anything like lunges, squats, and I'm starting to feel like I need to so my legs and a$$ don't get covered in cellulite.
Yep, I feel the same way. I looked in the mirror yesterday and I think it has already crept up on my ass!!! I just ordered a prenatal yoga DVD and bought some hand weights to tone up my arms....

Talk to your DR if you weren't exercising much before pregnancy. I walk, run, do yoga, spin, and crossfit. As long as your DR oks and you feel good, you can do what you want--if you get dizzy, sit down. after about week 20 or so you may need to hold on to something for squats.
I walk & do a prenatal pilates dvd off & on, more off lately. But I think now that it's getting warmer I'm going to try to do a little more. My Dr. gave me a set of exercises to do w/ light hand weights I'm going to start doing.
I walk outside a lot. Also, use the treadmill, treadclimber, and and elliptical at the gym. Prenatal Fitness Fix (dvd) will do wonders for your legs and butt!
I walk three to four times per week. That's about it these days. I feel pretty accomplished just getting that done considering the back and hip pain I am dealing with.
i try to walk every day for 30 mins usually i cant get my ass out of bed wed and thursday when i have early days lol and ?then prenatal pilaties 2 times a week it really helps get rid of the achs i wake up with
I actually do take one or two 20 minute walks a day just to get away from my desk. I also chase my toddler around on the weekends. That must be enough since I eat like a pig and haven't even gained 5 pounds yet. LOL
I was a big exercise freak pre-BFP. Then in my first tri I felt so crappy I think i went to the gym a grand total of two times. I still cant get back into the habit. I regret it because I am gaining weight in my butt and thighs which really are my problem areas if I dont work at them pretty hard. I am making a serious effort to get back in there on a regular basis and at least do some fast walking and elliptical, and light weights. I bought a prenatal yoga DVD, which is great for stretching and relaxation but if anyone thinks prenatal yoga will burn many calories they are going to be disappointed.
The only exericse I get is from walking the dog (but I do that between 3 and 5 times a day, depending). I haven't done any kind of resistance training, so it'll probably be ugly.
I walk most days, but thats about it, I even sold my eliptical when I found out I was pregnant - who was I kidding, it wasn't getting any use pre-pregnancy, I certainly wasn't going to use it while pregnant!
I do a prenatal yoga DVD (which has done wonders for my leg cramps!) that has some squats in it, and also try to walk a couple times a week as well (but it's been pretty rainy here so that hasn't really worked too well lately!).
I walk about 1 hour a day 5-6 days a week. Sometimes I'll do squats and lunges afterwards, but my hips are usually killing me from the walk.
I pointed out that my a$$ was getting flatter to my DH. He said that it was just PG a$$ and that it would go back to normal after the baby was born. Here's hoping!
I do. I've kept up my same prepregnany exercise schedule but I've lightened the weight loads to max at 25 lbs and have cut my running in half and supplemented with incline walking. I've kept my taebo tapes in there to keep from getting bored and I just ordered a new prenatal pilates video for the mornings. Exercise is the only thing helping me keep it together!
Definitely check with your doctor before you start somethng new.
I walk a lot, strength train (with weights and not) and that is about it. I used to run pre-pg and do yoga but I haven't been doing much of either lately.
Walking is a great exercise - if you're used to donig that, you can just up your intensity to get more out of it and work your legs harder by walking hills.
I haven't exercised at all since BFP...I have been so tired, sick, and busy I just can't bring myself to do it. I think as the weather gets warmer it will be easier though because then I go just take the dog out for long walks/jogs or go walking on the boardwalk.
I go to the gym usually three times a week at least and I bought a yoga DVD I am going to try this week as well.
After a loss at 13wks and years dealing with IF and failed treatments (3 failed IUI and 1 failed IVF), we have been blessed with DS (surprise BFP) and now his little sister (2nd round of clomid and TI) on her way.
I chase elementary kids of all ages around for 3 hours a day during the week, and then I hike for a few miles on the weekends. Throw in a couple of nookie sessions a week and that sums up my exercise. I'm still too tired to do much else.

I walk 3 miles, 4 tms. a week......But, I think I am lucky because I live close to a really popular/active lake area and that makes it so much easier to keep up the walking!
I try to get some form of exercise in each day. I go to the gym and do the elliptical for thirty minutes, then light weights. I walk and sometimes incorporate walking lunges. I am trying to keep up on my squats and lunges because I definitely have a tendency to gain in my butt and thighs....plus I am white as a ghost so the cellulite is more pronounced

I try to get 30 minutes of exercise in a day, whether its walking the dog, doing a dvd, or going to the gym (if I go to the gym, I usually spend 45 min- hour). I just try to keep active b/c it keeps me sane and is my therapy:)
Re: Exercise
I don't and didn't pre-pg. I swear I think I'm the only one on this whole site that doesn't.
However, this weekend we are buying one of our friends' ellipticals. I'm very excited about it.
you're not the only one who doesn't exercise.
we were going to get an elliptical at Christmas but just before, we found out I was preg. so we decided to wait till next year.
