Convertible Car Seat

It's almost time for Robbie to move into a larger carseat and I was wondering which one you guys bought.  We are looking at the Britax Marathon, but it is almost $300 and I was wondering if anyone has one that is a little less expensive that you also really like.  Thanks.

TTC since 10/06 - Went to RE after 6 months of TTC due to AMA -Diagnosed with MIF 5/07, only option IVF with ICSI - IVF #1 cancelled due to cyst, never got to ER - IVF #1.5 10/07, BFP - Robert Andrew born 7/30/08 Lilypie Kids Birthday tickers

    We have the Evenflo Triumph Advance LX.  I really like them and they are $140 each and highly rated in Baby Bargains.

    I have the fisher price safe voyage. it's made by britax and is the marathon but marketed under FP's name at a much lower price. There aren't as many choices for fabric but the price makes up for it.

    i second the evenflo triumph.  it's a really nice and safe seat.  well rated too.

    We have the Recaro Signo and I could not be happier with it.  The feel of the fabric is so nice and DD seems to really enjoy being in it.  I guess the only neg is that it doesn?t come in many color/pattern choices like the Britax.

    We got the Maxi Cosi for both cars and love it. For us it was a better fit as we have smaller cars (rather than a SUV or van).

    If you check woot.com religiously, they actually put the Recaro up for sale about once every month or so for $99.
