Where do you plan on registering?
Me: Babies R Us and Target. A lot of people have problems with Target's registry because of items being discontinued. But, my mom is a manager there so I'll have her keep her eyes out for any changes in the department.

Re: Poll: Registering
After the big u/s at 20w.
I have no reasoning for this. Just when I feel like doing it
Edit: Thought you said "when." Ooops.
Babies R Us!
and Im looking for another place too. I thought the problem with target was they wont take anything back after 30 days and alot of people buy in advance.

As long as you get a gift receipt you'll be okay!

I registered at BRU last time. Now we have a Buy Buy Baby so I would register there too if I were going to again (which I'm not).
Just FYI, I think most people's problem w/ Target registries is that they don't let you return very easily (same isle or something and only 2 per year and under $25) if you don't have a receipt.. and you'd be surprised at how many people forget to give you a gift receipt! But if your mom's a manager, you might be able to get around that

I'm doing Amazon, and a local store, so the non web savvy folks can still walk into a store and get their goods.
Target for me I love it there.
We just registered at BRU. Their stuff is discontinued a lot, too, so keep your own eyes out.

Ditto this. I bet half of my gifts didn't have gift receipts. People figure that its on your registry so you won't return it.

I am registering at Babies R us and at www.niniandloli.com
I can't wait to register I am so excited...I did not have a baby shower the first time and I am so looking foward to it.
Target and BRU also, probably won't register until after 20 weeks though.
Buy Buy Baby!
Love Target, but not for a registry. Forget trying to return anything without a receipt. People aren't always good about enclosing gift receipt. I won't trouble myself with that crap, again.
Probably BRU, although I hear isn't the best either, but local and easy.
I wish I could register at Buy Buy Baby (a Bed Bath Beyond owned baby store), but they do not have a store close enough to family and friends. They have SO SOSO much more than BRU. Plus you can use BBB coupons! Lots of different brands, not like BRU.
And lastly, probaby Destination Baby. They have the stroller I would love, and BRU does not...of course.
Baby Earth also looks like they have GREAT products: www.babyearth.com/
I have actually decided not to do a registry! At first I thought I would but have decided against it. In part due to the fact that my Aunt who has an infant has already started sending stuff my way and my neighbor whom I have known most of my life also has an infant has given me a ton of really good stuff(including several unopened boxes in diiferent stages of pamper/huggies...WOW). All of these things are in perfect, clean, unstained condition. Most of the things, vibrating seat, bath tub, swing, travel system look like they have never been used. They are gender neutral and I can save my money for other things for the baby if needed.
I guess another reason that I have decided to forgo a registry is my husband is a school teacher and a co-teacher registered for her shower and then proceed to send a very snooty email out saying she was a minimalist and registered for the things she wanted because she refused to have any yellow and green (I can kind of understand that part). But she also said she wanted nothing hand made. Handmade stuff was basically just junk she wouldn't use anyway and not to bother because it would clutter up her house and it would go to the trash. I mean come on. I am not sure about you out there but I love hand made things..This just kind of set me off a little. We will take back things we cannot use or exchange them or even put the money on a gift card for a later use or to get something we need. I may have a ton of handmade afghans and blankets but I will use them eventually. Thanks for letting me vent a little.
