HCG injection ?

I picked up my HCG script today which I'm all new to this. Does my RE provide the needle & syringe? I was told my plan for the month today by my RE & was told to bring that along for my u/s on CD 12 4-9. The will charge me $45 for them to do the injection or they will show me how to do it but do they provide the needles? This one script looks like 10,000 units & is it used only once or multiple times? I understand is only used if I have mature follies on CD 12 u/s but please provide me with your experiences with this. TIA

Re: HCG injection ?

  • i'm sure that if they don't give you the injection while you are there (and the pharmacy did not give you a syringe w/needle), that your RE will give you the syringe and needle once your follies are mature.  typically, a single HCG injection is 10,000 units so all you need is one.  if your follies aren't mature on CD12 they may have you come back on CD14 and so on until your follies are mature.
