PIO question

Ok, so when the nurse was showing us how to draw up the oil, she said to draw it up using a thicker needle, then removing it and replacing it with the smaller (but still big!) injection needle.  It looks like I only have the one size needle.

Do you have 2 sizes or do you draw up and inject using 1 needle?  what's the gauge?  thanks!

    2 gauges. 18 to draw up, 22 to inject.

    the needles came w/ 22 gauge and the 18 were seperate.

    not sure the sizes, but the needles i used to draw up the PIO had a yellow and white wrapper, and the inject needles were blue and white.

    Yep - if it is in a pink wrapper and says 18g on it - that is the one to draw it up with.  Use a 21g or 22g (depending on what you have) to inject.  Could it be that you have a syringe with an 18g on it , and a supply of 21 or 22 to switch to?

    I use a 25 gauge to inject.

    So weird, so the needle attached to the syringe is 22 g and the needle that is packaged separetly is also a 22 g.  Do you think they mistakenly left out the big needles?  I guess I can just draw up with the 22 g and inject it in, right?

    I had 22 gauge for injecting and drawing up. After drawing up, just change to a nice sharp needle.

    ding ding ding!  Krissy is right. In that case, DEFINTELY switch needles.  Those rubber stoppers can really dull the needle and you'll want something good and sharp. GL and report back when you're done!  You can do it!
