Success after IF

Am I your pet peeve?

I'm one of "those" Mommies who has no time now that I have Miles to log on like I used to.  My job changed when I came back to work and now it's VERY difficult to log on and with the economy being what it is I don't like to push my luck.

I do get on and read to see what's going on with everyone.  When I have posted I've either gotten a less than warm response OR hardly any response at all...so I quit posting.  I try to respond to people's questions in the evenings after Miles goes to bed, but I only have like two hours of alone time with Brad before we go to bed and I have to check Facebook (where I keep up with most of you) and respond to emails and all that.  It's tough to find the time to be on like I used to be.

So if I'm your pet peeve I'm sorry.  I do love this board and I miss you guys.  But just know that I am still reading...just not responding as much.  Crying

  • You're no pet peeve of mine!  Could Miles be any cuter?

  • I'm right there with you!  I still stop by to see how everyone is doing, but rarely do I have time to post.  Life has been nothing but hectic since the twins were born and all the other crap we've endured.  Chalk me up to being "one of those people."  Sorry girls, but trust me, I haven't forgotten my roots!  :-)
  • Yeah, I don't post much here anymore because it seemed like people stopped answering my posts, too, so I got into 6-12 mo because at least people answered there (albeit often with snark)! Now that I've moved on to 12-24 mo, but I don't Nest/Bump anywhere near as much because that board is dead.

Oh well, it is what it is.

  • No one in this post has peeved me!

As far as people not answering your posts as much, it might be that once you're out of the pregnancy stage there are far fewer people who have insight into the issues you might be facing (at least for now, but as more people have their little ones, hopefully that will change). But I can see how it would be tough to be one of the "elders" with the oldest children because there's always only going to be a finite number of other posters who can relate to the stage you're at, and as many also post less once their little ones arrive (understandably), it makes sense that you get fewer responses.

  • I've been feeling like this too. I never thought I wouldn't have enough time to log on and keep up with everyone....but I was wrong!

I think this is why the board is a lot slower than it used to be. We have lots of busy moms in our group now....and that's a GOOD thing!

  • Um, NO!  FAR FAR from it, silly!

(I didn't mention that last night at all since I do understand when that happens, but I know what they meant, and it totally doesn't describe you!)

  • I am right there with you, I really do not have a lot of time, I try to read up and make sure everyone is doing well.  I have a tendency to go to the Baby board to get info but I always come to this board and catch up on everyone.

  • You are welcome here - glad to always see you post!
  • I have no idea what you said; I was too distracted by those big purdy eyes in your siggie.  ;)
  • I feel the same way.  I try to log on for a bit every night and respond to posts, but there are some days that I can't get on at all.  I have no internet access at work, so the days I work I am rarely on...and the board is pretty slow on the weekends.  I do try to respond to as many posts as I can (especially newbie posts or those that have few responses).  I, too, feel like I don't get many responses to questions, but I do agree with Schmoodle that there just aren't that many people on here with older babies that can answer questions.  Although occasionally my posts will get stars but few responses, which makes me sad.  :(

Miles is SO adorable, by the way!
