Is it unusual that at 4w 5d, there would not be much to see on U/S? I had one this weekend from spotting and pain, and all that the tech saw was a thick lining, and "chubby" ovaries. . . that is fine right? I have another planned for Thursday when I will be 5 w  3d

    I had one at that point with my twin pregnancy and we saw sacs (pib) but the tech said it was extreeeeemely rare to see that much. However, it seems to hold true that my babies always implant early too.

    I had my fist u/s at 4w6d and saw two little sacs.
    IUI#1 - 05/20/08 = BFP! M/C - 14 weeks :( baby girl
    IUI#2 - 01/07/09 = BFP!!! Twins!! Pre-term labor 20 weeks :( lost twin girls
    IUI#3 - 1/31/10 = BFP!!!! M/C - 8wks :( again
    IVF #1 - 7/2010 = c/p
    FET - 9/2010 = another c/p
    IUI#4 - 2/14/11 = BFP!

    I would think it's normal not to see anything. My first pregnancy, our first ultrasound was 5w4d and all we saw were sacs, nothing in them even. Good luck with the next one!

    At 5w5d I saw a sac but nothing in it.  A whole week later we saw our little one.

    I never had one that early because my RE refuses to do them so early. He says that it is too early and can cause worry when it isnt needed. They said usually you wont see anything. Even if they suspect ectopic they make you wait until 6 weeks for an ultrasound. I am sure everything is fine!
