fabric for cloth wipes

I'm looking for a good fabric to use to make cloth wipes. Any suggestions?

I'll probably use just one layer and finish the sides. Nothing fancy.

  • Our wipes are flannel and they are great.
  • Our baby hasn't arrived yet (& it's our 1st) but I've already started making cloth wipes & I've been using flannel as well & love it. DH likes to rub it against his face when I show him the new ones I make because it's just so soft.
