I always see cute sets but I think when I get one, I'm going for the low budge IKEA set. We are also going to use a nice wooden kid's picnic table so the table/chair set can be a bit less expensive. Or if I see one this summer at a garage sale that I can paint, I would love to do that.
Very sturdy, looks nice (ours is all white - matches his playroom), marker/crayon, etc. has all wiped off right away, and less than $50 for the set. No cons (maybe that it is somewhat small so i can't see him using it past a fw more years)

We have a wooden Elmo table set in Jayden's room. The pros are that he loves it b/c he loves Elmos of course, it has a storage area in the middle where we keep his legos, it has ABC 123 on iit and he likes to "read" the table alot. The cons are that the paint will chip if your DC scratches it and I am sure the paint will fade over time.
My mom gave Jayden a table set for his birthday that we love. Pro's are that the child can write on it with dry erase markers, it has the entire alphabet on it, numbers from 1-10, cleans VERY easily with just water, and a major plus for me is that it can fold up when not in use. I hate my house looking like a nursery! I can think of no cons with this table. Even his occupational therapist commented on it this morning b/c it's so easy to clean up! Also, the chairs are VERY sturdy b/c his therapist sits in it with him on her lap!!

FINALLY!!! After 7 years of infertility!
We just bought this one from Ikea with these chairs. It's good size and will last the girls quite a bit. We wanted a colorful one with our playroom. I wouldn't neccessarily use it in a kitchen/dining room.
Re: XP: What childrens table and chairs do you like
IKEA (Gulliver, I think it is called?)

Ditto the Ikea reccomendations. We've had one for years and we've been very happy with it. It is sturdy, easy to clean, and inexpensive.
