does anyone else's dc NEVER drink juice?

She LOVES fruits and veggies but HATES juice. perhaps because we never gave it to her until daycare and there she refuses.

she also only likes water on occassion. wants milk 24/7.

so - question - what do you do in the car? do you carry a cooler? just stop an get milk? what about long trips out of the house?

she absolutely REFUSES juice. period. water is *sometimes* and option. we live in an area where all water is not good to drink. i dont get it at restaurants anyway.

Ds hates juice too and won't even take a sip of my water if it has lemon in it. He does like water, however. When he wants milk, we hit the McDonald's drive thru so that we don't have to get out of the car.

We don't drink it so we don't buy it. We'd rather DS eat fruit. I do think that daycare gives him juice even though we asked them not to because he knows what it is, but whatever. DS prefers milk. We bring water with us if we're out and about for the day. If DS starts getting cranky and starts crying for milk we'll stop at a convenient store and get one of those little containers.

At that age they did not drink juice. It started when the started going to their friends b-day parties and they'd serve juice there. They prefer milk (I have to acvtively limit their milk intake) but will drink juice too when they are in the mood.

DS won't drink juice. He doesn't like it either. He will drink water though. When we are going somewhere, we will usually just take a little insulated bag with one of those small blue ice things (I have no idea what they are called) that you freeze and put a milk sippy in there. It will stay cold. If we are going to be gone for a long trip, we will stop and get milk. When DS still had to have whole milk, it could get difficult because a lot of places don't sell whole milk in little containers. There was one trip where we had to go to five different places before we could find it. They had every other kind of milk, so I guess it depends on that for you too!

I don't give ds juice yet (although I'm sure he'd love it). When we go somewhere I just put some milk in a little cooler and carry it with us. I did the same thing for bottles so it really wasn't much different for us.

We've tried the milk boxes that are okay without refridgeration and the kids were okay with those. Mostly, my girls drink water when milk isn't an option. They love having water in their cute sports bottles that have their names on them (I found them at a Hallmark store).

He's a 'take it or leave it' juice drinker. He prefers water to juice or milk. If we need milk on the road, we get it at McDonald's or another fast food place.

DD hates juice, too. She also hates soda, sparkling juice, carbonated water, etc. Anything with bubbles and she looks like she's been poisoned. Stick out tongue

She drinks milk and water mostly.

As for milk on the go... it could get expensive but what about Horizon Organic milk boxes? I know other companies make them, too... like juice boxes, but with milk, and they don't need to be refrigerated.

Or invest in a Foogo or some other thermos sippy, which if you refrigerate it before leaving, I've been able to keep milk cold in for up to 12 hours.

I get dd the milk boxes like juice boxes but it has milk in it. I buy them on Amazon.com.
