My doctor wants me to stop one method this week (on PIO and suppositories) and stop the other method around 8 weeks. I feel like that's too early. Thanks!
After 2 years and 6 IUIs, we did it with IVF w/ ICSI!
BFP with no treatment!
I stopped PIO at 6 weeks then was on suppositories until 10 weeks. I was soooo happy to stop the progesterone. I know it is nerve wracking to stop but I am sure if your doctor thinks you are safe stopping at 8 weeks I would trust him/her.
I stopped PIO the day I got my BFP (and started suppositories). I stopped the supps at 10 weeks. Did not miss either for a second ; ) However, I just felt like if I started spotting afterwards I'd go back on them, so I wasn't worried.
Supposedly the placenta is making more than enough P4 by 8 weeks so you really don't even need it after that.
Good luck!!

TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!
I think I stopped PIO around 6 or 7 weeks and then prog around 10 or so. I was nervous about stopping, but I realized that he wouldnt tell me to stop them if my levels were'nt high enough on their own.
