Did anyone go straight to boxers instead of regular underwear?

 

Miles has been PT in the house only (I don't have the balls to venture out yet) and he still wears a diaper for bed and naps. No accidents.

So I thought all was great and threw some underwear on him. He peed in them with in 1 hour.

Today I put him in his knit boxers and he hasn't even peed in them and he even pulls them down and pulls them back up when he is done.

I am wondering if the enclosed feeling of the underwear are making him to comfortable unlike the boxers.

    Maybe the underwear feel more like a diaper because of the fit?  When you say he is pt'd at home, what was he wearing to achieve that?

    Didn't you start him out last week with naked time?  I would think the boxers would be a better follow up than tighties.  More like the natural feeling he is used to.

    How is Amelia doing with her PTing?  Any more accidents?

    My DS really hated the feel of regular underwear.  He was tugging on them and visibly uncomfortable.  I got him cotton boxer briefs and he loves them.  Honestly, I'm kinda glad it worked that way cause the boxer briefs are adorable!!!  We got them at Carters, but I know they have them at Walmart and Target.  Just FYI, I bought a package of the Hanes boxer briefs at Walmart and they ran WAY small.

    MIL is the underwear guru and bought all his knit boxers. She is a sucker for Hannah A underwear! Thanks for the heads up on the sizing. Miles is pretty skinny but I find that the Hanes were running small too!

    Emilia is fired. She has been sick and needy so I put her potty away until she feels better.
