more cutbacks at DH's work

They don't want to lay anyone off because mid-summer through winter they have giant contracts coming up - but until at least June, check out what they're doing.

They are having everyone work a 32hr week (4 8hr days) and paying them for 40hours.  They are operating at a loss to hold on to the people they have until things pick up again.  I hope they actually can keep these big contracts otherwise they're done for. eeek.

Re: more cutbacks at DH's work

  • I've heard of companies lately going to four day work weeks, but most of the ones I've heard about haven't been paid. As an employee, I'd want to be happy about something like that, but as a responsible adult, I know better.

    I'm hoping for the best.
