Buy now or buy later....

in 2nd Trimester

My Grandmother was sweet enough to give me some money saying I should "buy something for me or the baby" with it.

I was thinking I could us it to buy the pack n play...but I don't know if I should buy it now, or wait until a couple months from now to see what I get as gifts from other people and use the money to buy left over items that I need.....what would you do?

And like everything else lately, I'm seriously over thinking this too lol!

    wait. it will come in handy when you need to finish out your registry. although i do understand the concept of money burning a hole in your pocket.

    I would def put it away until after your shower for things you didn't receive. Why buy it if someone can get as a gift for you?

    I personally would buy the pack n play or a car seat... :)  diaperbag?  i just am at the point where i still have not bought anything and really want to!

    At least if you wait until after the shower you can use your completion coupon. My SIL told me the other day not to buy a new pnp I never in a million years though they would get me something that expensive, this is my third kid ffs!

    Unless you want to use it twords nursery furniture i would wait. You never know what you will or wont get at the shower.

    If you get a really good deal, I'd go ahead and get the pack n play. I figure my shower (if I can travel for one) will be mainly clothes. I don't expect anyone to buy any of the big things for us, especially DH's family. My family bought most of our big ticket items because they wanted to.

    I think you should put it aside and use it after DC arrives and you get your first house nervy day so you can go out and spend frivolously then.  It's SO much more fun to shop when the baby is here!

    I'd buy now, so you can tell grandma what you really wanted and what her money got for baby.  There will be plenty of other options from which people can choose gifts.

    Our Pack N Play was discontinued, BRU did not e-mail me, I found out through the 3rd Tri board.

    So it depends how bad you want that pack n play or if you are happy with another choice.

    MIL called BRU and got them to hold the last one for her and she went and got it Saturday am.
