Sleep help needed

I am at my wits end, it is not to the point that DS screams like he is being abused everytime I put him in his crib. I finally got him asleep for a nap and as soon as I set him down in his crib, he woke and would not stop screaming, he is beyond comforting within seconds, so that picking him up is the only thing that stops him. I have even tried CIO and that doesn't work, he cries to the point of gagging and I dont want him to throw up (has happened before.)

I have no idea how to make his crib more inviting, he has nicer sheets than we do, his room is comfortable, he is full and dry and warm.

HELP!

Re: Sleep help needed

  • Do you have a crib soother?  My girls love the FP aquariums and it totally lulls them to sleep.
  • Loading the player...
  • Yep, I swear he screams louded when it is on. He loves it when he is awake and playing. I also have a soothing sounds nature CD, that I have played for him since he arrived and it doesn't seem to work anymore either.

He wont take a paci, he throws his blanket/lovey over board or shoves it between the rails. I have tried other favourite toys, even lying him on one of my tee shirts that I have worn so he can smell me.

  • Do you put him down asleep or awake? DS screams if he wakes up when I try to put him down asleep, but does much better when I put him down awake. It is like he doesn't like being tricked into sleeping or something. Bed time he goes down awake without a peep, nap times he does cry but only for a minute or two. Good luck.
