No teeth at 10 months old - anyone else?

I see all these younger babies with teeth and N still has nothing. She has been such a drooler for so long, chews on her hands, has a runny nose and still no teeth. I am told by everyone it's teething but I would have thought something might have happened by now. I feel her gums every couple of days and I don't feel or see any signs of teeth. I know some babies take longer, but I was just wondering if anyone else is in this situation. TIA!

    Connor did not get his first tooth until a week after his FIRST birthday! He is almost 18 months and he still only has about 10 teeth!

    When did you and your DH get your teeth? Both myself and my DH did not get our first until we were one......they say it is somewhat hereditary!

    Thanks, that's good to know. I keep seeing kids with mouthfuls of teeth and she's got nothing! I doubt my mom knows when I got my first tooth but I bet my MIL dutifully recorded DH's in his baby book. I'll have to ask.

    itto. I didn't teeth until I was one and I'm thrilled at the prospect G is like me. I am in no rush to be bit and kinda like the idea of him being able to comprehend and communicate a little better when he's in pain.If you're worried about introducing hard foods, my mom has a great story about me going medeival on a piece of crusty bread with no teeth.I say enjoy it :)

    I can't remember exactly what month DD got her first teeth but I'm thinking it was around the 10+ month mark.  She's almost 2 1/2 and only has one of her final set of molars so she's just slow in the teeth growing department.  I know how you feel and they'll eventually start popping up.
