Help me pick maternity pictures please

DH and I are so indecisive... we love the pictures our photographer took!  (If you're interested, here is the slideshow...

But we need to pick which ones we want to buy - and I was thinking it might be nice to get a collage with several pictures framed to put on the wall of my bedroom.

The questions are... is 9 pictures too many and too crowded/busy (the 9 picture options would be 20" x 20"?  Should we do black and white or color?  Would it be better to get two with 4 each (maybe one color and one black and white) than one big one?  The sets of 4 would be 10" x 20".

Any help you can provide would be so greatly appreciated.  It breaks my heart to think that the ones I don't buy will be deleted, but we can't afford to buy everything!

Thanks!

I just had to check these out - they are beautiful. I really like the idea of two sets of four - I like the black & white photos.  Reason, I like that the photos can be spaced out in the two separate frames with a little wall space between them to add color (if you have color on your walls), and that they aren't all right on top of each other. Once your boys are born you can always hang one set of your PG photos on top, the other below, and have a photo or two photos if your sons in the center.  Have fun! They are wonderful photos!

SAIF/PAIF absolutely ALWAYS welcome to respond!

  • They are beautiful. ?I would do the set of 4, but do all three. ?In decor anything is more interesting in odd numbers. ?Perhaps the two sets of color, with the set of B&W hanging ?in the middle. ?I hope that makes sense. ?It is not that I think the 9 pics are too busy, but I think the three sets of four would be more interesting...just my opinion. ?You could also do three sets of three
  • Oh, thanks for all the ideas - I think having 2-3 different "sets" would be nice - I just need to pick which ones would go best together...
  • Perhaps wvagirl will chime in since she is a photog
  • I just have to tell you how beautiful they are!  Whenever I have photography done I always try to get a photographer that gives me a CD with the images on it because I can NEVER pick just a few that I want.  I think a collage would look awesome.  As for picking out your pictures....there is no way I can narrow it down!  LOL
