  My RE used a trigger on me because as of CD19, I still had no O'ed, yet my E2 suggested I had one mature follie, so I did the trigger to release it.

  Really I think its for timing purposes because you will O 34-36 hours after the trigger shot. I think it also finishes maturing the egg and gives you a stronger O.

  Last cycle I did an HCG trigger with TI.  I think my RE just wanted to make sure we knew exactly when I was going to O so that we could better plan TI.

  we did a trigger with TI as well and i agree - b/c we need all the help we can get 

  my first cycle we didn't trigger and it ended in a BFN - though we confirmed a strong O with 7dpo b/w

  my 2nd cycle we did trigger + TI and got the BFP.  perhaps i would have gotten PG w/o the trigger and it was just a matter of time, but it was worth the extra $70 and injection site soreness IMO
