stupid trigger question

My Ovidrel trigger was .5mL.  Does anybody know the conversion to ius?  I know the standard rule of thumb is it takes 14 days for a 10,000 iu injection to leave your system, but I can't covert mine!  Thanks ladies!

Re: stupid trigger question

  • I am adding to my own post.  I decided to test out my trigger with $store tests.  I triggered exactly 14 days ago.  On the Thursday after my trigger (4 days after), I got a profound negative on a dollar store test.  It was the first day I tested.  The next day was negative too, so I assumed the trigger was gone, although super early. (I should I also add I was pretty bummed I never got to see a postive!)  Now, from everything I am reading, it looks like I could technically still have trigger in my system.  Could those dollar store tests have been wrong?  Eeek... this sucks.

  • here is a stupid conversion...its so probably NOT right.  My trigger was 1cc and was 10,000 ius.  So, if yours was .5cc, could it have been  5,000 ius? Can you call the pharmacy you got it from.

My trigger was out 9 days later. I'm pretty sure it was *negative* but now I wished I took the test apart and disected it.

  • i have always used the dollar tree tests.  i believe if you had 0.5ml in your trigger that it was only 5,000 units which should be gone from your body by now, esp if it is 12 days post trigger and you only got a half dose
