Pluses:
The rooms look really nice. ?More like hotel rooms than hospital rooms. ?They all have pull-out beds for dads to sleep on, which is nice. ?And they will bring you meals anytime you want; there are no set mealtimes. ?Also, there's wifi!
Minuses: ?
Apparently my hospital doesn't rent hospital-grade breastpumps, which is something I had been planning on using to get my supply up to start with. ?So now I have to figure out another plan with regular "civilian" breastpumps. ?But those should be fine, right? ?(I was just going off the Mothering Multiples book that talked up the benefits of the hospital-grade pumps for starting up supply for twins.)
Seeing the NICU and everything made me nervous. ?I really hope our babies don't need NICU time, but I know the odds are they might. ?That stresses me out. ?I don't like knowing that I'm not in control of the situation. ??
Re: Took hospital tour today
Which hospital? ?If I remember, you went to Houston IVF, right? ?Just curious because I live right down the street from Memorial City and was wondering how the new maternity ward was, if that's where you're delivering. ?Bummer about the breast pumps, but at least the rooms are nice! ?
I've been going to Dr. Dunn at FSH and hope to be on this board soon...started MDL today and stims on Tuesday...eek. ?
?
Methodist. ?But I have a friend who had her daughter at Memorial City and she liked it a lot. ?Since it's so new, I'd imagine the facilities would have to be pretty nice there.
Good luck with your cycle!?
