storing babyfood in bpa free?

I bought sets from onestepahead for storing the babyfood that are bpa free and just great..I was just looking through some stuff that MIL's friend gave to me and there is a baby cube tray thing for the food with a cover, but it isn't bpa free..would you use it?

  • Yep. ?Just don't stick it in the dishwasher.

  • I wouldn't, but I am paranoid about all that. There are certain ways of treating plastic with BPA that will make it leach BPA into the food in large amount (like pp said) but that doesn't mean it isn't leaching in small amount all the time. I say stick to the one step cubes, since you already are going the lengths of preping your own baby food...
  • Rubbermaid ice cube trays are bpa free. Also, certain brands of ziploc bags are bpa free. I think Ziploc brand is.
