XP: Heard back from the nurse

I'm still cramping and bleeding.  I'm just barely spotting on a pad but when I wipe the blood is bright red and there are some tiny clots.  But, its only there when I wipe the first time, after that it goes away. 

The nurse said it could be a number of things, including irritation from the Endometrin suppositories.  She said that the fact that I've been getting positive HPTs since Friday, including one a half hour before the spotting, is very encouraging.  She said that she's had many IVF patients spot and even have full flow periods and still be pregnant.  So, that makes me feel a lot better.  I'm at least cautiously optimistic at this point.  

She can't move my beta up from Tuesday because I'm taking part in a progesterone study and there are specific rules for when the beta can be performed. So, I'm just going to take it easy until Tuesday and hope for great numbers.  

Thanks again for all your kind words and encouragement.  You ladies are the best!

    I'm glad she got back to you.  It is good you are on progesterone supplements already, hopefully it is just irritation from those.  A good friend of mine on the nest had full flow period like bleeding at the beginning of her pregnancy for about 3 days I think, and she has a healthy baby boy who is 4 months old right now.  I hope you can just take it easy...put your feet up, drink tons of water and kind of be on unofficial bedrest till Tuesday.  That is what my RE had me do when I had bleeding.  ((hugs)) Hang in there!  I hope Tuesday gets here really fast!

    at least the nurse was able to ease your concerns some

    can you go in for a beta earlier and then again on the scheduled date? i personally wouldn't mind paying extra to get an earlier beta for peace of mind.  just something you can think about it and maybe ask them.  i don't see how doing an earlier one and the scheduled one would mess up the study
