Infertility

Heard back from the nurse

I'm still cramping and bleeding.  I'm just barely spotting on a pad but when I wipe the blood is bright red and there are some tiny clots.  But, its only there when I wipe the first time, after that it goes away.

The nurse said it could be a number of things, including irritation from the Endometrin suppositories.  She said that the fact that I've been getting positive HPTs since Friday, including one a half hour before the spotting, is very encouraging.  She said that she's had many IVF patients spot and even have full flow periods and still be pregnant.  So, that makes me feel a lot better.  I'm at least cautiously optimistic at this point.

She can't move my beta up from Tuesday because I'm taking part in a progesterone study and there are specific rules for when the beta can be performed. So, I'm just going to take it easy until Tuesday and hope for great numbers.

Thanks again for all your kind words and encouragement.  You ladies are the best!

Re: Heard back from the nurse

  • Thanks for the update, that earlier post worried me!  I'd try if you can to take off work tomorrow, keep your feet up and keep testing!  I'm praying this is just as the nurse said, a common thing for IVF patients to experience.  Especially considering all you BFPs this weekend!

  • I wish you all the best for Tuesday. Take it easy till then, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. Take care! :)
  • Oh....well, hearing you're on Endometrin makes me know even more that you are fine. My clinic has told me that 100% of their patients have anywhere from spotting to heavy bleeding on Endometrin and all is well - you're just irritated from that I bet.

    Good luck!
