i started wearing one during 1st tri b/c the girls were in excrutiating pain 24/7 and i just kept in the habit - it can't hurt and i can only hope that it will help with them falling south.....myth or not!!
I do. They've been gravitationally challenged for a long time, so I'm not so worried about that, but they get sore if I don't. I used to do it a lot before pregnancy, too.
Nope...I can't stand sleeping with one on and I don't need to add anything else to the list of reasons why I can't sleep for more than an hour or two without waking up.
I, too, started sleeping with one in 1st trimester. My girls were sore and they felt better when they were "contained." I bought a sleep/nursing bra and I love it. I want to wear it to work!
No way! The first thing I do when I get home is let these puppies loose. I wear one only when I have to these days. Bras make me feel confined and itchy. I started out as a B or B- so these bad boys aren't making it to D status or anything.
Not now but when the baby gets here and my milk comes in, I will. I did it mainly because without having them harnessed, I was in PAIN last time around.
It is actually pregnancy, not BFing, that makes your boobs sag, so even if you don't BF you may get saggage. I don't think wearing a bra to sleep in will help much if at all. My boobs are SAD after DD and I am not looking forward to how much worse they'll look after this pg. They also shrunk after I finished BFing from a full B to an A--so unfair!
I don't know how women with bigger chests manage normally. The bigger boobs are a shock to my system, to say the least (A to C so far). I've been wearing super comfy sleep bras to bed since the beginning of 2nd tri most b/c of how HEAVY my boobs feel. And the aching nipples don't help. I agree that the first thing I want to do when I get home is take off the day bra, but I am MUCH more comfortable with a sleep bra/tank on. After I stop working, I'll probably wear the sleep bras a lot during the day.
And where I agree with all pps? At this point, my comfort is more important than whether my breasts will sag.

I sleep in a sports bra but I've always done that. My boobs are 32F pre-pg and I know they've gotten bigger. I can't stand for them to be all over the place esp now with a big belly.
I don't usually sleep with a bra on, but I have been doing it the whole pregnancy. I don't think it makes a difference in terms of sag or whatever, but for me it's just more comfortable. I am pretty large chested to begin with, so I already have some sag... but it helped cut down on soreness in the beginning to sleep with a bra, and now I find it helps control leakage too... so for me, it's a must.
I have never heard anything that really proves sleeping in a bra helps or hurts anything except your comfort... so I say do what feels best!
1. ?Wearing a bra to bed will not help with sagging.
2. ?Breastfeeding has nothing to do with sagging. ?It's the pregnancy itself. ?Whether or not you breastfeed, your milk will come in, and it will stretch those puppies out even more. ?Usually, when your milk dries up (whether right after birth or when you wean) they'll deflate a bit.
3. ?I usually wear a cami with a built in shelf. ?Sometimes I do wear a really comfy sleeping bra-- not too confining but just enough support to keep them from moving around too much.?
my whole teenage life i thought this worked..turns out, medically, wearing a bra while sleeping has no effect on keeping the girls up. its also not good to wear underwire ive heard bc its not great for milk production.
i always wore a bra to bed before, but i just can't anymore. it's too uncomfortable, and i get way too sweaty and gross. as far as the sagging goes, i'm not worried about it. i plan on having a reduction sometime after pregnancy anyway.

This except I have gone from a 34C to 38D and have not found those wonderful sounding sleep bras (will do so soon). I sleep in the nursing tanks.
