Clomid..... what days?

I was just wondering, what days did you all take clomid if you have/are taken it?

I am currently on CD5-9, but my first Dr rx'd me to take it CD3-7 so it has me wondering, what is the difference?? I have been finding mixed results in my google searches. TIA!

    I was 3-7 both times. This round (#2), I had an u/s on CD3, and that was the deciding factor for 3-7 or 5-9

    I've taken Clomid on days 3-7 all 3 cycles that I've been on it.

    I did 3-7. I think the difference is days 3-7 produce more follies while days 5-9 produce less but higher quality. I could be wrong though. From being on this site I have seen it prescribed both ways. I think it is just a matter what the RE or OB prefers to do.

    I'm a Day 5-9 girl and this is my first cycle on Clomid (50mg). ?I'm doing this first round with my OB/GYN and will be with an RE for any subsequent cycles. ?My fingers are crossed that this will be my first and only cycle on Clomid!

    Thanks ladies! MVP, that is about all I have found, that 3-7 may produce more follies....

    I know that my OB will only RX 5-9, so I suppose it doesn't really matter all that much. I am hoping to be getting into the RE soon though!!!

    This is my first round of Clomid. I took 100 mg on CD 3-7. I don't honestly know what the difference is.

    Mimi, just a question: why would your doc start you on 100mgs rather than 50 mgs? ?I thought you were supposed to start with the lowest dosage possible. ?Anyway -- not to pry -- I'm sure there were reasons.

    ?I'm a Clomid 5-9 girl at 50mg (this past month was round one for me), but apparently it didn't work and my OBGYN informed me that I didn't O at all. ?This was pretty disheartening, but I'm hopeful that this month, with 100mgs, we'll see some magic happen.

    ?On a completely unrelated note, I am happy to share that DH has finally crossed the "I'm okay with baby sex" threshold. ?Meaning that yesterday HE actually initiated the baby dance. ?Woo hoo! ?I was starting to feel like a sex-crazed, demanding lunatic.

    ?Anybody else have an experience like this?

    I've done both. I would like to prove MVP's theory correct...CD 3-7 I had more follies (I think) but it was a BFN cycle, this cycle I did CD5-9 and had one mature follie I triggered.

    I'm a CD 5-9 girl. That was what my OB Rx. I'm on a break cycle while I wait to get in to see the RE. When I was on Clomid I O'ed like clockwork. Now I'm CD 25 still waiting to O.

    Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase
    18 cycles (3 with our RE) - Metformin + Clomid + HCG booster did the trick!
    BFP #1 6/22/09 EDD: 3/2/10 DS born: 3/8/10

    TTC #2 since Dec 2011
    BFP #2 7/8/12 EDD: 3/18/12 M/C @ 9w1d: 8/16/12

    I'm a 5-9 girl and today is the first day I have to start taking it.  Going to follow advice of a lot of ladies on here and take it before bed.
