so i just figured this out re: Lent

Although my personal opinion is that lent is stupid (not trying to insult anyone, etc)... I am still trying to be a nicer person- i.e. not chucking rotten apples at kids walking to the busstop or giving old ladies the finger, yada yada....

and it's also true that on sundays you don't have to abstain or do whatever the thing is you chose for lent to give up or do....

so tomorrow....i can be EXTRA EXTRA mean! and when someone says "kristin, why are you being so rotten" i have a totally legit excuse.Party!!!

    true, yes it is still lent on sunday, however it is also feast day.  and any obligation towards lent is given up on feast day.

    You know what I've always wanted to do? Go up to a kid licking an ice cream cone and give it a little 'bop' into their face. It's an incredible urge and even though I'm a former Catholic I may just have to do it. It's warm and in the upper 70's right now...I may just be able to find one!

    Heck. Maybe I'll buy one for DD Devil

     Well, let me put it this way then.  I observe Lent because I want to, not because I have to, and it's a time of sacrifice for me.  I would not feel like I am sacrificing if I don't observe on Sundays.
