second hand

in 2nd Trimester
so I have a big family think big fat greek wedding a few cousins have offered me baby stuff all in good condition because i know how these girls are. I am so taking them up on them but my MIL says ohh you want to use already spit up on pooped on cloths. UH yeah its called a washing machine . I wanted to say unless you want to buy us all that ***. ughh why does this woman have to be so?frustrating?sometimes . normally i love her and we get along fine but sometimes she says the?dumbest?things.

    I'd kindly suggest that if she doesn't want her grandkid in any hand-me-downs, she needs to go stock up the baby's closet herself. Otherwise, a few gently used items won't hurt the kid, the kid won't know anyway, and they will have been washed and cleaned.?

    I wouldn't have a problem with gently used items- I've bought a couple outfits from a resale shop myself. ?

    yea i know because they only wear them a few times before there into the next size. i still am going to buy new also but it would be nice to not have to buy so much and mix in some used stuff

    Ask her if she needs help holding her nose in the air! It must be challenging for her. Seriously! Take the clothes! :) Most of my dd's clothing is second hand. Honestly, baby clothes are great because they grow out of them so fast that they rarely get worn out! I never kept any second hand clothes that were stained, and they looked brand new. Your MIL will never know the difference! :)

    Once the baby comes I would put her in an adorable USED outfit on a day your MIL is coming over and once she says how cute it is, say casually yeah that was used from........
