I'm not finding the answer on Google -- Just now I was pumping and milk got into the tubing - this has never happened before.
I'm using the Medela Symphony, which I'm renting from the hosptial and *believe* is a closed system.
Has this happened to anyone else? Any tips on how to stop it from happening or what to do?
Re: Milk in pump tubing
Did your bottles overflow? Or are you just seeing little liquid drops in the tubes? If it's just like a mist in there.... it's likely water. When I used a symphony it was get in everytime I pumped. Just run the pump with only tubes connected and it will dry out.
If it's legitimately milk, I think you can rinse them or use on of the micro sterilizer bags.
And yes, it's a closed system.
