anyone get criticism for BF?

My short history: I failed BF with first two mostly because of medical complications with first and sheer frustration with second. I am determined to make it work this time when baby is born. But last time my mom was no help because she kept saying things like" oh its too much trouble. I never did. I didnt want ot. Just bottle feed, blah blah."

So Im wondering if im going to get a lot of crap this time around..

    I did but I just ignored it.  If people would ask questions like, "Why are you doing that" or "How long are you going to do that" my stock reply was "Why do you ask?" 

    Just ignore it all - you are doing what is best for you baby.

    that stinks that you get any criticism!  everyone around me has been really supportive but i do make a point to say... "i know this isn't important to everyone but this is important to me."  maybe that would be enough of a response.

    i guess i should explain that i know some people who were not able to bf or gave up in frustration and i don't want to make them feel like i think they made the wrong choice.  it's a personal decision.

    I did a little just because no one in my family has done it.  But I just ignored it!  I really wanted to breastfeed and DS likes it, so I don't care what other people say.

    I'll never understand what the issue is and why people question it. ?It annoys me, though, b/c I never ask other people why they're doing this and that with their kids, so why ask me? Hello? Isn't it natural? You can see I get annoyed. :-)

    My mom is the same way!  She didn't BF and my SIL didn't either.  The automatically means that its not right.  She says things like - I will just miss being able to give Jacob a bottle.  Or your husband is going to be alienated from feeding.  Whatever.  I just ignore it and know that what I'm doing is best for Jacob and for me.
