Testt early or wait until AF is due? What do you do?

Sooo...DH keeps telling me to please wait until at least the day that AF is due to test. I know he's trying to protect me so that if I get a BFP line and then if AF were to come a few days later then it would be a chemical...which I guess I have that fear too! However, the lure of the pee stick might be just too much round dpo 10 or 11.... The anticipation of it will get to me I think. What would you do???? What do you do each month???

I haven't O'd yet since our loss, but I think it would be too tempting for me too. Just use a $store one so its not as expensive! lol

I've only ttc'ed one cycle- our m/c. And DH said he was only buying me one stick and to use it wisely. Knowing that, I waited until the day AF was due. I might ask him to give me the same restrictions this time, to save me some sanity. But- I also might give in and get some extras.

I always test early. Bad, but I do. I am going to try and hold out until next Friday or Saturday though.

I have no will power and don't even try to hold out to wait. I know I won't make it. I am 7 DPO and will probably start tomorrow or the next day, I know too early but i just cant help myself!!!!

My advice is to wait. But I am a maniac and tested this morning at 8DPO. It was my last test, so I'm going to try to force myself not to buy anymore and wait to test on Wed.

New to this board... we just lost our baby last weekend at 37 weeks when I stopped feeling movement.. and delivered on Sunday, March 22nd. We named her "Hope", as an inspiration to us during this devastating time.

Looking for some support and answers to questions here...

Could one of you please clarify for me some of the abbreviations you use? Some I can figure out... but others not clear to me. Thanks so much.

i test early too, but I work in a hospital so unfortunatly I have access to pregnancy tests (for free) I have tested only twice...but AF not due until thursday... good luck holding out

I wait until AF...but then again I'm also on TTC cycle # 20 so I can pretty much already tell. For about the first 5-10 cycles I think I would test at least 2-3 times before AF. I think it's easier to get DH involved to help "ration" the sticks...LOL
