We are going to upgrade this weekend and I would like some recommendations. I had last heard that the triumph was the safest as rated by consumer reports, is that still so and is it the triumph lx? Thanks!
LOVE our Britax Boulevard CS. ?I bought it because it offered the True Side Impact Protection and had the most padding. ?DS used to cry in his infant seat but hasn't fussed once in the new seat, so I think he approves!

We just got DS a Triumph Advance (LX? black and brown) this week! We took him to the store with us and had him "test drive" a bunch of the seats we'd read about. Triumph fit him the best (he's got long legs) and he seemed SO comfy in there. At BRU, they even let you take it out to your car to try the fit. I have a '95 Cutlass, so it's not the roomiest, and it fit great. His feet don't even touch the back of the seat yet, not that it's a big deal if they did.
Straps are super-easy to adjust--the mechanism is a crank on the SIDE, as opposed to most that have the strap-pull on the front (PITA rear-facing!). We are very happy with it. To help in your search, here is a website that lists the latest recalls:
We just bought (2) Evenflo Triumph Advance LX from albeebaby.com. We haven't installed them yet but I've read a lot of good things about the car seat and its safety ratings. The price really sold me as I have to buy two.
We have the triumph advance. ?We got it at target. ?I love it, and it's been side impact tested and has that form that absorbs impact. ?It's kind of big, but I can tell just by looking at it that it's safe. ?It fits in the middle of our car (a dodge stratus 2002) fine, and two can easily sit on either side of it. ?I did a lot of research and found that the triumph is a great seat and not over priced like some.?
And it's incredibly easy to adjust the straps and get DS in there. ?I think that's one of the reasons it's rated so high too. ?Kids get hurt in crashes because they're a lot of time not properly put in their seats. ?This one is so easy it's impossible to screw up.

My two nephews each have a Triumph, too.
