Does your toddler sleep w/head against the headboard?

Preston is still in his crib. We haven't had a reason to move him yet. Everytime I go to check on him, he always has the top of his head crushed against the bumper of his crib (he uses a regular size pillow to lay his head on too). He sleeps in a twin bed when he stays over at my parents house and they have to stand a pillow up behind his head pillow, because he does it there too.

Anyone else?

  • either her head is jammed against the headboard or her face is smooshed the mesh bedrail...she's in a twin bed right now.

even in the crib she was the same way up against the headboard or smooshed against the bumper.

  • Not my DD, but my brother did. The pediatrician explained that because he was a twin, he was used to having his head pressed up against something for 9mths (b/c it was so tight in there). So he was most comfortable when trying to fall asleep with the same feeling. No reason your DS might not do the same?
  • Yep, his head is always smooshed up against something.
  • Always! She wedges herself in there pretty good.
