1st Trimester

It's 8:45 and I'm already in bed

I'm beat. ?Poor DH...I never want to hang out in the evenings or watch the Netflix that are waiting for me, nevermind have sex! ?I know I was tired when I was pregnant with DD, but now that I am chasing a toddler around during the day...the evenings are even more shot. ?I do have to say DH is awesome...gave DD her bath and is putting her to bed and letting me relax. ?Anyone else out there this exhausted??

Re: It's 8:45 and I'm already in bed

  • I was, but it got a lot better around 13 weeks!
  • Loading the player...
  • I feel the same way, my DVR is so full of things to watch. I really hope it gets better.
  • Yeah, 2 Netflixs we've had for over a week...

I am SO EXHAUSTED! I refuse to drive ANYWHERE thats not a 5 minute drive because I have car induced narcolepsy. I feel horrible for DH because I do homework and then go straight to bed... no hang out time for us!

I've heard it gets better though! How far along are you?

  • I've been sleeping 10-12 hours every night.  This is getting ridiculous and yet I love it!
  • I chase a four year old around all day so I feel your pain!! Though it is getting better as I'm getting further along
  • I was exhausted and didn't have the toddler as an excuse! ?You should feel better by second tri...

    Good luck!?

  • I can't sleep at night (horrible mattress), but I do try to catch up with a nap at the same time my little one is napping. ?I hate to be the nay-sayer here, but I never stopped feeling the fatigue last time!
  • It will get better.  I could not even get caught up on my recorded shows for a while.  13 weeks tomorrow and beginning to be able to stay up later.  Some nights are better than others.
  • I can totally relate. I am exhausted all the time. But this is a small price to pay to have a healthy baby. Plus everyone seems to say it will get better! I take it as it is just our bodies way of saying that this is what it needs. Good luck with everything!

  • I feel really guilty about his with my Dh also - by the time we get home from work, have dinner we have like 60 minutes before I want to pass out.  I think we ate dinner 2 times together this week.  The other times i was in bed exhausted!
