Was told to lower lupron dose before starting stims?

When the nurse called me on Monday she told me to start stims on Friday but to lower my dose of lupron from 10 to 5 on Monday. I was at work so I couldn't ask too many questions. So I have been on 5 iu of lupron for 4 days before starting stims.

Does anyone have any ideas why they would do that?

And I told myself I wouldn't worry about anything this cycle.... yeah right...

    I lowered my lupron the day I started stims.....but not at all before.

    My RE had me lower my dose from 10 to 5 when I got my period, which was on Tuesday and I don't start stims until Saturday so that's about 4 days on the lower dose before starting stims.  Although I'm not sure why he had me do this. . .

    I lower mine the same day I start the stims--not before.  Perhaps they just want to be sure you're not overly suppressed.
