Prometrium -- How long did it take to get a period?

Hi everyone,

I just got an Rx today for Prometrium, so I can get a period and start Clomid. I am supposed to take it for 10 days.

If you have taken Prometrium before, how long did it take for you to get a period?

I'm going out of town April 6-8th, so I want to make sure I don't get my period during that time when I will need to be doing tests, etc. I'm debating starting the prescription now, versus holding off a few days to make sure I don't get a period during my trip.

Mine usually came within 1-3 days after stopping the Prometrium. Once it came on the 9th day of taking the pills.

I usually get it about 3 days after I stop the last pill.

I think it's usually 2-4 days after you take the last pill. I take Provera which serves a similar function. I take it for 7 days and then usually 3 days later I get my period.

It can take up to 14 days after the last pill for you to start bleeding, but you could just as easily start while still on them. I average 3 days after, but I have started with 2 pills left and waited as long as 12 days. Every person and every cycle is different.
