While we're talking about sex...

Who here was told to give it a rest for awhile?

Was this just because it's so early in the pregnancy or was there some complications? (bleeding/TTTC/etc?)

I have my first doctor's appointment Monday and I was just wondering...

    My doc never advised against sex at all during pg.

    My doctor said I could have sex until the last few days. We have been getting it on every other day, I have not had any spotting.

    My dr said it was safe for both mom and baby throughout pregnancy.

    I had some spotting after sex last weekend and called the doc on Monday and they had me come in right away for an ultrasound. Everything was fine, but they told me to hold off on the sex until my next appointment which was today...and it just reminded me I forgot to ask if it's ok again! But I am on progesterone suppositories and those make everything kind of sensitive so that can be a cause.

    pelvic rest due to spotting.

    i was on pelvic rest due to bleeding for about half of my first pregnancy too.

    My ER doc said none since I was bleeding.  I'm sure it's only coincedental that I bled the day after sex but I am not taking any chances.  BF is suffering but too bad!

    God, I envy you all.  The thought of sex right now makes me want to run to the bathroom and get sick.  I have been so miserably sick, I can't even think about it.  poor DH.... I hope this feeling passes soon.

    I am JUST now feeling up to sex again. We literally have not had sex since conception (we've both been sick off and on, I swear, I can't wait to get out of college and away from sickness!!). I've not had my first appt yet.

    My friend wasn't allowed to have sex for over 6 weeks because the placenta was too close to her cervix, but when she went back, it had moved!
