It's a Blizzard!

I live in the Denver area and right now we are in the middle of a blizzard. I love it. It started snowing around 6 am this morning

Unfortunately I had to go in to work to meet with a guy that in in from one of our other offices for a breakfast meeting at 7. But I have some liberties with my job and I'm able to work from home when needed. So I left at 8:30 am today and the roads were already bad.   My DH just called and said they are closing his office at 12pm MT.  I hope he makes it home ok. It will probably take him about 2-3 hours I'm guessing in the snow, his normal commute it 40 minutes. Now I just need to keep myself busy an try not to worry.

I wonder how many Blizzard 2009 babies there will be. I wish I could say I was going to have one but I'm past my O and in the 2ww.  4 more days to testing.

    So you  like snow too? Me too!  My husband hates it. 

    I'm glad it's Spring but I wouldn't mind one more minor snow storm...on a Saturday and not needing to go anywhere.

    I am in western Canada, I like snow (no choice really, ha). As much as I am obsessed with skiing, with spring pretty much just around the corner I have golf on the brain, so I won't be too sad to see the last of the snow!

    Mine too. And this is the really heavy wet stuff.  I think we have about a foot already. And it is really being whipped around too Big Smile

    My SIL lives just north of Denver. I'll have to email her tonight, she'll probably be sitting at home tonight in front of her fireplace.  She hates the snow (she's from Florida).  Heheheh!

    Well, I hope so!  Since I live in Chicago, I have had enough snow to last me a lifetime and then some.

    LOL! I spent a few years in Michigan for graduate school and then I hightailed it back to Florida where the sane people live! Snow is not my fave!?

    We may have some flurries on Sunday. That is supposed to be the beginning of my Spring Break! It's hard to get in the springy mood with snowflakes. Bring on the sun and flowers!

    mexine. i'm a little late. i hope your husband made it home safe.

    i bet you are looking forward to your san diego vacation. what are your plans. i must say as a girl who grew up in so cal. a must is sea world. yes its for kids but grown ups too.  i used to have dreams of being a marine biologist. but thought nursing was a little more stable for money. oh but the dream is still there... maybe if i ever win the lottery!

    He made it home ok. It took about 2 hours. And now 2 days later the snow is melting but there are going to be big mounds for a week or so from the plowing and shoveling. But my dog loves it. He takes a big mouthful every time he goes out.

    I can't wait for San Diego. It will be good to go some where warm for a few days. We are going to leave on Friday and come back on Tuesday. It will be good to have a long weekend away with DH.  As far as our plans we talked about going to Sea World, and trying to find a harbor cruise at sunset, and we plan on going into old town.  Any other recommendations?
