  I got a large brown wicker basket for the living room for all the toys at crate and barrel for $35  just recently. did you want an ottoman style with a top? sometimes they have those at world market

  We have a tall narrow wicker basket that has a pink liner that I got at a shower that came from Target. It sits perfectly on our fireplace. I want to find another. It's not big enough by itself but 2 would look decent on both sides of the fireplace.

  RIght now we are using our PNP ?I bought one of these for Lily's room and have been thinking about getting one for our family room. ?You can mix and match colors:

  we use a rubbermaid bin. probably not the style you're going for, though.

  DH made a very simple wooden storage chest. And he's not the handy type. Just got some plywood and veneer and a hinge for the top.?

  Do you have an ikea near you?

  If so, this hamper is perfect for toy storage! 

   

  Funny, I took that like last week and now it's totally full!

  The best part is you can see all the toys even at the bottom.

  I bought two shelf units from target:

  and we use baskets on the shelves for smaller toys and then the bigger toys sit on the shelf. All DS's blocks are in a woven basket next to the shelves. It doesn't hide the items out of site but keeps them looking neat and off the floor which is what I wanted.
