i was reading another post about these and some said they don't push the air out. We quit using these and switched to the wide ventaire bottles because I was so fed up with pushing the air out of the bottle while my son screamed to be fed. Then we would put the cap back on quick while we burped him mid-bottle so the air wouldn't get back in. It was a major PITA and I was baffled at why people liked these bottles so much.
So does it make any difference if I just don't push the air out? Cause I would keep using the bottles if that was the case.
Re: another playtex drop in question
I figured out that if you lay the bottle down on its side, the formula fills the nipple and air can't get back it. ?I've only had the formula leak a little once or twice from being sideways. ?
However, my DD still has pretty bad gas. ?She's on Gentlease and on this bottle. ?Anyone have a bottle that they thought worked better for preventing gas??

didn't make any difference for us. In fact, DS can get the bag emptier if we don't push the air out.
It's still less gas, because the bag collapsaes instead of air having to re-enter the bottle to make up for the missing volume. (make sense?)
Me too. I tried pushing the air out at first, but then read that some people didn't so I stopped. I never noticed a difference with gassy baby at all.
