2nd Trimester

WTH is wrong with men???

DH, in particular.

We have 1001 things to do before the baby comes.  Seriously, a lot has to get done- stuff I just don't want to have to deal with after she is here.

He has a free day- and what does he do?  He "works on" the wood pile in the BACK of our yard.  Yeah, just about the LAST thing on our 'to do' list. WTF?!?  Why, oh why, would you think that would take priority? UGH!! And the worst thing?  After my reaction is, "oh" he says "I thought I was doing something good" So, now he wants a pat on the back.  UGH again.  THey are like children, I swear.

Re: WTH is wrong with men???

  • haha.  maybe he needs a numbered honey-do list.

  • That's their way of helping.  It's within their comfort zone.

I reacted this way too at first, but then realized I'm better off doing most of this stuff on my own anyway.  Just to make sure it gets done how I want it done.

  • Amen!  Mine does a load of laundry or some dishes and he thinks he deserves a fricken medal.  Ummmm, hello??  I do that stuff EVERYDAY. ugh...
  • My husband does this as well. We had an appraiser come out last week since we are in the process of refinancing. We had to get the house clean, and the yard clean. He goes into his little man room and starts sorting out bar signs he can sell on Ebay. Wtf.

  • have him read "baby proofing your marriage" He'll understand.

  • Honeydo lists are always the best way to do it. Sorry I made a mistake.

LMAO!  Sounds like mine and yours need to get together!

  • I give DH a list and a time table.  He doesn't want to get yelled at, and I don't like to yell... so it works out nicely for us.

We got into a huge fight because he was home all day and didn't clean a thing.  He said that he just didn't notice that things were dirty... so I kindly point out the dirt. Stick out tongue

  • I am very lucky.  DH cleans every weekend and he cooks every night.  Lately my back has been killing me and he takes very good care of me.  Of course he could just be spoiling me but he's great!  He has his moments though, as they all do when I want to strangle him lol.  I think they are just as nervous as we are, especially the first-timers.  They aren't sure what to do so they do what makes them comfortable which isn't always what we want!
