Same due date after u/s?

just wondering how many due dates got changed after the first ultrasound... I'm getting antsy waiting for mine and it's still a week & a half away... ;)?

Re: Same due date after u/s?

  • Mine did, but I'm sticking with the original date based on my LMP so I don't start seeing myself as "late."

  • I was a day off but my OB kept the original
  • I measured 2 days ahead at my first u/s but my Dr. kept the same due date.
  • They changed mine, but I already knew my one based on my LMP was wrong.  It was changed to exactly what I knew it was.

To whoever is keeping theirs based on LMP- why?  The u/s is usually right while LMP is wrong quite frequently.  Did they have you measuring ahead or behind?

  • I measured ahead at the u/s (I knew my exact LMP, but also knew I ovulated earlier than day 14) so was a few days ahead of what I would have been based on LMP.

They did change my due date from Oct. 4 to Oct. 1.

  • I'm not doubting it's accuracy, I'm just doing it for my own sanity in the final weeks.

They had me measuring only a few days ahead at the first u/s, and now a full week ahead.   My OB kept the original date, because she said that babies grow at different rates, and the earliest date is the most accurate, but the perinatologist put it a week earlier based on the NT scan.

Ok I understand what you're saying now.

  • My ultrasound tech told me that unless the baby was measuring more than 5 days off the original due date, than they do not change it.  My last u/s showed me as being one day off from my last u/s so they kept the same due date.  Make sense?
  • My due date has changed 3x. Now I have another U/S on Wednesday. So it will probably change again LOL Doc's like to drive us nuts! :)
  • Mine changed from Oct 7th to Oct 11,2009 ,not that far off.

  • I originally figured my de date as October 2nd based on my LMP.  My doctor's office figured it as October 4th based on the same thing.  At my NT scan, they said I was measuring 5 days ahead of drs. due date - making a Sept. 30th due date.  They said most likely my drs office won't change their estimated due date because it's less than a week off.

I have always told people (and will continue) that my estimated due date is October 2nd.  They can change so many times anyway, as long as I'm in the ballpark, I'm comfy.

  • Not mine. Baby O measured right at 8 weeks at my 8w0d u/s. I was charting & O'd right in mid-cycle, so I knew my dates were right on.

I forgot to mention that my OB said my due date wouldn't be changed unless I measured off more than 5 days by u/s.

  • When I was pg the doc said they (maybe it was just the place I went) don't normally change a due date unless it is 2wk off.

  • I had my first u/s today, due date had been Oct 24th, now its Oct 29th.  But HR was 173, Yay!
  • I was two days off but my ob doesn't change it as long as you're within a week on either side.
  • At my 11w3d ultrasound, I measured 12w2d. They are waiting until the next ultrasound to see if I'm still measuring ahead to change the due date.  Based on the first u/s my date would be September 29th instead of October 4th.  I'm still using the October 4th due date until I my doctor officially changes it.
  • Mine got changed by about 4 days.  After my U/S My due date was 4 days earlier, therefore I was 4 days further along than I thought.
