IUI was the day AFTER O..any hope??

I took my last opk on cd 14 and I SWORE it was positive, I mean it was about as close as it gets. I took it to my CD 14 u/s appointment and most of the girls there thought it was postivie too. Well then the nurse looked at it and said NOPE, still negative. So I triggered the next night and had my IUI on monday morning.

Well my opk the next day was stark white and my temp had shot up on the morning of my IUI. Now I am really pissed because I just paid almost a 1000 dollars and missed my O?!!!

Here is a link to my chart, is ther eany hope with having O'ed the day before my IUI?

  • I thought the same thing about mine - I don't trigger, so I was going by temps.  The girls here on the board encouraged me that there was hope so I am holding on to it - I think there is still hope!.

  • Triggers will raise your temp, that is why my RE told me to throw out my charts and everything else and if they monitor you enough should catch you before you O. Did they take blood work at all?
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I want to agree with this. I am just hoping the trigger casued it. My RE also thought I was crazy, I was practically in tears thinking it was too late.

  • I hope you girls are right, and no they did not take any b/w that day.

  • Must be the month for late IUIs - I had the same thing happen! My OPK was + on cd14 and I usually O 2 days after my +. I wasn't scheduled for IUI #2 until Monday afternoon, so I called when I got the +OPK and she said that their measurements are more accurate than home OPKs but she did move it up to Monday first thing in the morning at least. I do not chart now that I'm being monitored and doing the IUIs, so I don't know for sure when I did O but I'm really thinking it was on cd16, and IUI was on cd17. We did FWP on Friday morning (cd14) so maybe we'd have a chance anyway - but I've been very stressed that we did the IUI too late. But I did have one random day of spotting on Tuesday (8dpiui) and have had none since. I have never ever spotted before 12 or 13dpo, so I'm hoping and praying it was implantation. I'm testing tomorrow morning, so if I get a BFP I would say there is definitely hope for you even if you think it was done a bit late. GL!!!!
  • yes, there is hope.  i think the same thing happened to me and my RE said the IUI still should have covered it if that happened.  Good luck!!
