I wrote on here yesterday that my betas have not doubled appropriately. They have been slow all along and now have really slowed down (893 then a week later 2353). When the RE's nurse called to tell me yesterday she mentioned all types of awful scenarios then said "try not to worry". My question is why aren't they doing an ultrasound? I am six weeks and I haven't had one yet. If there is question as to the health of the baby then why aren't they looking? I am so upset. I cried all night and have been so emotional this morning. My RE is on vacation. I have written emails. I guess I just wait until Monday for my fifth beta. My husband says it is all a waiting game. To think positive. Easier said then done. I just want a stinking ultrasound, some reassurance. You know?
Re: I am so frustrated with RE's office
I'm so sorry the nurse scared you like that. Sometimes I think they don't understand that this isn't just a job for us, that we have emotions attached to this entire experience. I think in the medical profession sometimes you need to be removed/detached from things in order to do your job effectively but that detachment can lead you to say things to people that, while might be helpful to know, are just plain scary. ((HUGS))
I definitely think you should have had an u/s by now, even just to make sure it's not ectopic. I'm surprised they haven't done that yet. Can you call and request it? GL!!
{{{hugs}}}
Call back and ask to schedule an u/s

That doesn't sound like a very good RE. Is there a chance you could try to get a 2nd opinion with another RE? The good news is that the numbers are "rising" not dropping. At least, my RE always told me that rising numbers are good.
I hope everything works out for you. You have every right to be upset. You're RE shouldn't leave you hanging (vacation or not).
At my RE's office you get scheduled for a u/s once your beta hits 2000+. I think ours was about 5wks3days and all we saw was a black circle in the uterus. It does confirm placement of the embryo so that they know it's where it's supposed to be.
What treatment did you use to get a bfp? Ours was IVF. Does that make a difference with that office?

You should definitely be getting an initial ultrasound.
Honestly, maybe it's time to venture somewhere else?
Do you have an OB lined up? Per chance you could call them, explain the circumstances, etc, and get it done.
Your RE on holiday is no excuse for the lack of immediacy {IMO}
I only had 2 betas, and my first u/s sound is scheduled for Monday {6wks/3dys}
You're not crazy, you just need answers. And you deserve them.
