Those who have had CP

I started POAS at 7dp5dt. There was an extremely faint line. I have been testing a few times a day since then. I am on 9dp5dt and POAS this morning. Still a VERY faint line. It doesnt seem to be getting lighter but def not darker. Is this most likely a CP? Thoughts? Thanks!

  • I've had 3.

One thing I learned is that you can't tell how pregnant you are based on an HPT. The darkness of the line can vary from test to test depending on how much dye is there. In addition, since it's a qualitative test (yes/no), you can't get the sensitivity you'd get from a quantitative test (like a beta). I've seen  many posts where gals have taken several days to weeks to see a darker line on an HPT.

Bottom line, I don't think a CP is something you should worry about at this point. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but unless you have other reasons to believe you're having a CP (bleeding/cramping), you may be just fine.

    Congrats on your BFP.

  • ditto the PP. You really can't know if you're having a c/p based on the darkness of the lines b/c it really depends on the test.

From my personal experience and my c/p, I saw a line using an internet cheapie, but it never really got any darker and it actually seemed to be getting lighter as the days went by, even though I also had a "pregnant" on a digital.
