I got Hailey some infant sized DSQ prefolds since the limit for her GMDs were 10 lbs and I'm sure she's either close/there/past that weight by a little bit. They are snug and hard to put on her now. Anyways, her new prefolds came in and I prepped them and they are sooooo soft! But if she pees, they have absolutely no absorbing power, it is soaked, along with actual pee drops in her cover! If she poops, always a blow out, no matter how snug I think I've got it on her. *sigh* Oh well
Re: I will never stray from GMD prefolds again...
I'm really glad you posted this because I'm deciding today wether to spend the $$$ on GMD or just get diaper service quality ones or Little Lions ones. Now I know to stick with the GMD!
Also, since you mentioned the infant sized ones (orange edged I'm assuming?) are getting too small, are you planning on selling those anytime soon. I'd love to buy them if you are!
Yes, they are the orange edged ones and I have 3 dozen of them. I'm not on diaperswappers though, I'm not really sure how that works... I'd love to sell them to you though... maybe I can figure it out. You can email me at amarazi at yahoo dot com and I'll get ahold of you when I get ready to sell them.
Well tell us where you got those so we can avoid them.
But most DSQ diapers are good. Little Lions and Tiny Tush both have great reputations. Even GMD doesn't claim superior absorbancy, they just claim to have unique sizes.
I got them from bananapeels, which I love, but I don't love these diapers
kilwicket,
What covers did you use with the newborn GMDs? I have a few Thirsties and some bummis I think.
